Day 1: Board Your Overnight Flight
Day 2: Arrival in Athens, Greece
Arrive in Athens, Greece, a city named after Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. Meet your tour manager for the transfer to your hotel, ideally located on the Gulf of Corinth. Enjoy the scenic views as we make the short 1-hour trip through rolling hills to hotel overlooking the crystal blue Aegean Sea. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Relax and take it easy before your welcome dinner tonight. Remainder of the evening to rest or to start exploring the area. (D)
Day 3: Athens City Tour
Athens City tour: Today you will see the monuments that have made Athens famous, such as the Temple of Zeus, the Royal Palace, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Olympic Stadium. You will have a guided tour of the Acropolis and visit the world-famous Parthenon, a magnificent temple built by the Athenians around 3000 B.C. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Plaka Taverna, before an afternoon at your leisure in Athens with suggestions from your tour manager on sites and shopping. Later this afternoon, return to the hotel for dinner. (B, D)
Day 4: Delphi (optional)
Enjoy a day at leisure and relax at the hotel, or take an optional tour to Delphi, Greece’s most breathtaking ancient site. Famous in antiquity as the home of the oracle of Apollo, it is here where the Oracle representing the revered god Apollo presided over the ancient world. Perched on a mountain slope overlooking olive trees and the sea, Delphi continues to radiate as you marvel at the impressiveness of the site even in ruins. Visit the Delphi Museum, which houses valuable pieces of art including the bronze Charioteer, one of antiquity’s greatest statues. (B, D)

Day 5: Ancient Sites & Mountainside Villages
This morning, travel back in time as we explore the Peloponnese Peninsula, where Gods and Goddesses, ancient kings and pioneer Christians roamed. This full day tour will take you to many ancient and modern wonders including the theater of Epidaurus. Built in 6th century B.C. and world renowned for its remarkable acoustics, you can easily hear a coin drop from anywhere in the theater. Continue on to Mycenae where you will see the tomb of Agamemnon, the King of Mycenae and the Lion’s Gate. This famed place was where the Trojan War was decided. Helen of Sparta fled with Paris of Troy creating the epic battle best known as the Trojan War. (B, D)
Day 6: Olympia Tour (optional)
Enjoy a day taking advantage of your hotels included features or visit Olympia. Walk in the footsteps of the world’s first Olympic heroes at this UNESCO World Heritage site. Travel to the archaeological site, where you can admire remnants of the historic birthplace of the Olympic Games and even sprint down the original racing track. Learn about the site’s history from an archaeologist guide, and view displays and ancient artifacts at the on-site museum. Every four years the city-states of Ancient Greece used to call a truce and head to Olympia for an athletics competition in worship of Zeus. Visit the ancient Sanctuary of Zeus – a vast expanse of well-preserved altars, temples, theaters, and marble statues. Highlights of the site include the Temples of Hera and Zeus, the Council House and the Treasuries, while the Archaeological Museum houses exquisite sculptures such as the statues of Praxiteles and Hermes. Enjoy free time for lunch and souvenir shopping before the return trip. (B, D)

Day 7: Crossing Corinth Canal
Today, take a short drive on the scenic coastal road to the Isthmus of Corinth. We marvel the Corinth Canal, one of the 19th Century world’s engineering masterpieces with history that starts as early as 602 B.C. The canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland. The canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks. Board the ship and enjoy the crossing through the Canal. (B, D)
Day 8: Day Cruise to Saronic Gulf (optional)
Enjoy a day at leisure relaxing at your hotel, or join an optional tour to the Saronic Islands aboard a spacious Greek sailing ship. Find your favorite spot on deck to soak up the Mediterranean sun while island-hopping to Agistri, Moni, and Aegina. From ancient temples and wild peacocks to pristine beaches and an optional bike ride, there’s something for everyone at each stop. Swim and snorkel right off the boat, and indulge in a delicious Greek lunch onboard during this luxury island adventure. (B, D)

Day 1: Depart the U.S.
Depart the U.S. and embark on our fabulous adventure to the Costa del Sol.
Day 2: Costa del Sol
Today arrive in the Costa del Sol, Spain’s Mediterranean coastline! Upon arrival we will be met by our Adelman Discoveries tour manager after collecting your baggage and clearing customs. You’llthen be transferred to our hotel and home for the next 7 nights. The rest of the day is at leisure. Tonight enjoy dinner at the hotel with our fellow travelers. (D)
Day 3: Costa del Sol/Malaga
After breakfast at our hotel, enjoy a day in Malaga, one of the oldest cities in the world, founded in the 8th century by the Phoenicians. Today, art is everywhere – you can experience exhibits dedicated to glass and crystal, classic cars, contemporary installations, and, of course, the works of Picasso, who was born here. Wander past banana trees and beautiful fountains as you walk through Paseo del Parque, then hit the old city to quench your thirst at a Spanish tavern. (B, D)
Day 4: Costa del Sol/Mijas (optional)
After breakfast enjoy a day at leisure or an optional tour to Mijas. Here you will be greeted by lovely whitewashed houses and spectacular views over the coast and countryside. Mijas is one of the most picturesque villages in Andalusia seated 1,300 feet above sea level. Perhaps you’ll even want to experience a true treat… a ride in a donkey-drawn taxi! (B)
Day 5: Costa del Sol/Ronda
Today we will enjoy a full-day tour to Ronda. You’ll see all the highlights of this lovely town, including the Plaza de Toros Maestranza and the Church of the Holy Spirit, in Ronda’s town square. The picturesque town of Ronda spans the plunging river gorge known as El Tajo, crossed by the impressive 18th-century Puente Nuevo bridge. You’ll visit the town square, known as Plaza de Espana, the Church of the Holy Spirit, built in 1485, and the Cathedral Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation (known today as the Church of Saint Mary the Elder), Plaza de Toros, the oldest bull ring in Spain, which has staged some of the most important events in bullfighting history. The museum’s collection of memorabilia includes photos of famous bullfighting fans, including Ernest Hemingway and Orson Wells. (B)
Day 6: Costa del Sol/Gibraltar (optional)
After breakfast, take an OPTIONAL full-day tour to The Rock of Gibraltar. Also known as “The Rock”, this massive stone guards the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea and offers a fascinating blend of English and Spanish culture. Return to the hotel just in time for dinner. (B, D)
Day 7: Costa del Sol/Seville (optional)
Following breakfast, we will have an OPTIONAL tour heading to Seville. Our tour will include visits to the Gold Tower, Giralda Bell Tower and the ornate cathedral housing Christopher Columbus’ tomb. We’ll also visit Alcazar Palace, an 800-year-old palace-fortress of the Arab kings and explore the old Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz, beautiful Maria Luisa Park, and Plaza Espana. (B, D)
Day 8: Costa del Sol/Granada
Today enjoy a tour to Granada. Here the Alhambra Palace overlooks the city of Granada, and stands out as one the most famous examples of Moorish architecture in the world. Delight in a visit to the lush gardens of the Generalife, the summer palace of the Kings of Granada. Marvel at the Nasrid Palace, constructed around the Myrtle and Lion Courts in the 14th century. Day 9: Costa del Sol/U.S.
After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport for our return flight home. (B)

DAY 1: USA – Germany
Sit back and relax on your over night flight from New York’s, John F. Kennedy airport to Frankfurt, Germany. (In-flight meals)

Day 2: Arrival in Germany
Arrive at Frankfurt Airport and meet your Adelman Travel Tour Manager for a group transfer to Baden-Baden. Few other cities in Germany are as cosmopolitan and exclusive as Baden-Baden. In the 19th century, it flourished as a sophisticated spa town thanks to its thermal baths and was rediscovered as an internationally renowned meeting place for aristocrats and wealthy citizens, aided by the income from its famous casino. A rich and well-preserved cultural heritage—both tangible and intangible—remains from this golden era. We will have time for lunch on your own at the local Christmas market before checking into our hotel for the night. This evening, we gather for a welcome cocktail.
Day 3: Baden-Baden – Strasbourg
After breakfast, we will enjoy a city tour of Baden-Baden before heading to Strasbourg, France, to board our cruise for the next four nights. The Rhine welcomes you with its wintry charm as we transfer to the Amadeus Riva, our home for the next four nights. Once settled into your cabin, you may explore the ship, join the on-board cruise management for a welcome cocktail, and enjoy your first dinner on board. We remain docked in Strasbourg overnight. Day 4: Strasbourg
Wake up once again in the wonderful city of Strasbourg, France. After breakfast, we will embark on a short coach tour through the city, continuing with a walk through the historic center and a visit to the famous Straßburger Münster—the city’s iconic cathedral. From here, you will stroll through the historic and festively decorated district of Petite France, with time to stop and explore the charming Christmas markets along the way. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to return to the Strasbourg Christmas Market or join an OPTIONAL excursion to the village of Gertwiller, renowned for its Lebkuchen (Christmas gingerbread). Day 5: Strasbourg – Heidelberg
Christmas magic awaits you again when we take an included trip to visit to Heidelberg, one of the few German Cites with a widely preserved baroque old town. We will have a castle tour that leads also into the castle garden. From the Grand Terrace, you will have a wonderful view of the city and the Neckar River. The tour continues with a stroll through the enchanting old town, to Karl-Theodor Bridge, the late-gothic Church of the Holy Spirit and the town hall. At the end of the tour, you may take the chance and stroll around the Christmas market of Heidelberg. After lunch aboard our ship, the afternoon is yours to explore the town of Speyer on your own or take an OPTIONAL Speyer walking tour, with a visit to the Christmas Market. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: Speyer – Koblenz
We arrive in the wine town of Rüdesheim, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Upper Rhine Valley. On our included excursion, we board the Winzerexpress train, which takes us to the Siegfried Mechanical Music Cabinet—an adventure for the ears featuring historical self-playing instruments. We then continue with a guided walk through this picturesque town. Our journey carries on through the magical Middle Rhine Valley, passing the legendary Lorelei Rock. The enchanting landscape loses none of its charm in the winter months, and this section of the Rhine is rightly considered one of the most beautiful. This afternoon, our ship docks in Koblenz, where you can explore the romantic town in the northern Rhineland-Palatinate on an extended guided walk. Let the festive charm of the old town’s Christmas flair captivate you. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Cologne – Wiesbaden
This morning, after breakfast, we bid adieu to our Amadeus home as we dock in Cologne. We will enjoy a city tour with a local guide, including a stop outside the Cologne Cathedral to learn about this masterpiece of Gothic architecture and its rich history. After some free time to explore the area around the cathedral, we continue to Wiesbaden for our overnight stay. Home to 15 mineral springs—14 of which are hot—Wiesbaden is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. We will also have time to enjoy its festive Christmas market. (B)
Day 8: Wiesbaden – Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Known for its medieval architecture and half-timbered houses that line the cobblestone streets, Rothenburg ob der Tauber awaits us for a city tour with a local guide, followed by free time to visit the Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas Store and the local Christmas market. We then continue to Nuremberg to experience one of the oldest and most famous Christkindlesmärkte in the world. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore the city and its festive market. (B)
Day 9: Nuremberg
We begin this morning with a walking tour of Nuremberg led by a local guide, where you will discover the rich history this city has to offer. The remainder of the day is yours to browse for last-minute gifts and revisit the Christmas market. This evening, we gather for a farewell dinner and reminisce about our time together exploring the German Christmas markets. (B, D)
Day 10: Munich – USA
This morning, we pack our bags and head to Munich to catch our flight home with unforgettable winter memories of the German Christmas Markets. (B)

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro
Welcome to Brazil! Arrive in Rio, the vivacious “sun and fun” capital of South America; meet and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest, relax and acclimate to your new surroundings. Tonight, attend a welcome meeting with your Tour Manager and fellow travelers, followed by dinner at a typical Brazilian Churrascaria! (D)
Day 3: Rio de Janeiro
Awake this morning in amazing Rio. Begin the day with an ascent by a scenic cog railway to the summit of Corcovado Hill. Here, at 2,400 feet above the city stands the 125 foot tall statue of Christ the Redeemer. The Christ statue, that embraces the entire city, is designated as one of the seven “New Wonders of the World”. See the thrilling 360 degree sweeping view of the city and understand why Rio is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Afterwards, continue along Rio’s famous beaches, including Copacabana and Ipanema before returning to your hotel. (B)
Day 4: Rio de Janeiro
Today is at leisure to discover all of the delights of Rio on your own. Watch the volleyball and soccer matches on the beach, shop for local crafts, and linger at a waterfront café to just “people-watch”. Join the OPTIONAL glass cable car ride tour, that takes you to the top of iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain, symbol of the city, where you’ll see the stunning panorama of the beaches, Corcovado Mountain, downtown Rio and Guanabara Bay. In the afternoon, attend the OPTIONAL Carnival and Samba Experience. Visit one of the top Samba schools in the city and learn what made the Samba & Carnival icons of Brazilian national identity. On your last night in Rio at leisure, be sure to sample the cuisine at some of the fabulous restaurants and cafes ringing the beachfront. (B)
Day 5: Iguazu Falls
Depart Rio this morning on a flight to Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival, walk along the winding pathways on the Brazilian side of the majestic and awe-inspiring Falls, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Iguazu consists of over 275 separate cataracts across a span of two and one-half miles, wider than Victoria Falls, higher than Niagara Falls and more dramatic than both. Stand in awe at the unforgettable panoramic views before crossing the border to Iguazu, the Argentinean side of the Falls, for the night. After a day filled with unforgettable memories, return to your hotel with unforgettable memories. Tonight, enjoy a typical Argentine dinner together at our hotel. (B, D)
Day 6: Iguazu
Your adventure continues this morning on the Argentinean side of the Falls. A rail car takes you to the top of the Falls on the Upper Circuit,* and you will walk to the Lower Circuit where the power of nature surrounds you. Continue along the catwalks to Devil’s Gorge – stand in amazement as you gaze at spectacular “Devil’s Throat” the most magnificent of all of the cataracts. View, photograph and feel the spray of the thundering waters, one of nature’s most impressive achievements and a unique experience for your senses. Spend the rest of the day exploring the natural treasures of Iguazu National Park, designated a World Heritage Site for its rare and endangered flora and fauna. (B, D)
Day 7: Buenos Aires
This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires. Its beauty is apparent with its elegant architecture, wide tree-shaded boulevards, striking monuments and sprawling parks. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure to get acquainted with the “Paris of South America” and its distinct European flavor. (B)
Day 8: Buenos Aires
Discover the city’s highlights this morning on a tour that includes the Plaza de Mayo, Metropolitan Cathedral and Casa Rosada (government palace); see the balcony where Eva and Juan Peron made their speeches. Then, to the colorful La Boca neighborhood, a working class barrio, and the old quarters of San Telmo and Caminito, a mix of colonial style homes, narrow lanes, artists’ lofts and very trendy cafes. Drive to the Recoleta Cemetery, the final resting place of many of the wealthiest and most important Argentine historical figures. The grounds here cover more than four city blocks, filled with tombs adorned by works of local and international sculptors, and more than 6,400 mausoleums including the tomb of Eva “Evita” Peron, always heaped with flowers and letters from adoring fans. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring some of Buenos Aires neighborhoods and fabulous collection of shops. Join us tonight for an exciting experience at an Argentine Dinner and Tango Show. (B, D)
Day 9: Buenos Aires
Revisit some of your favorite places in the city today, shop for leatherwear and designer clothes, or, join the OPTIONAL fun-filled Gaucho Party at the Santa Susana Ranch. Get ready for a rustic experience at a typical Argentine ranch (estancia), dedicated to agriculture and the breeding of cattle and horses. After a tour of the grounds, enjoy a typical barbecue lunch, followed by a folklore show with live music and dancing. Return to the hotel with time to freshen up for this evening’s “Farewell to Argentina” dinner. (B, D)
Day 10: Buenos Aires – Tigre Delta – USA
After breakfast, we head out to the Tigre Delta, the gateway to the Paraná Delta, the most important delta in South America after the Amazon. Green and rich with rivers and creeks, this gorgeous natural reserve is located just 30 km from Buenos Aires. The tour begins with a sail on the Río de la Plata to reach the suburb of San Isidro, where we visit its magnificent 1897 neo-Gothic cathedral, theater, and public library. The journey continues to Tigre’s fluvial station, where we sail through the rivers and canals, navigating between a thousand little islands covered with ceibo trees and abundant biodiversity. Finally, the group will be transferred to the airport for return flights home. (B)

Day 2: Arrive in Munich, Germany
Welcome to Munich, often called the “Village of a Million People” and the vibrant capital of Bavaria. After arriving and collecting our luggage, we journey to the charming city of Passau, where we’ll be staying for two nights. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic panoramic tour of this picturesque town nestled at the confluence of three rivers. Later, we’ll gather at our hotel for a relaxing welcome drink to toast the start of our European adventure.
Day 3: Regensburg Excursion
Today we travel to the enchanting town of Regensburg, renowned as the best-preserved medieval city in Germany and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During a city tour, discover its rich history, stunning architecture, and charming old town. After the tour, enjoy the afternoon at your leisure—wander the cobbled streets, explore hidden gems, and savor lunch at one of the many inviting local restaurants. (B)
Day 4: Passau – Salzburg
This morning, we bid farewell to Passau and travel to the enchanting city of Salzburg, known for its baroque architecture, alpine backdrop, and as the birthplace of the world-famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic Old Town, including a visit to Mozart’s birthplace. Take in the charm of cobbled streets, grand squares, and stunning views. We’ll settle in for a two-night stay in this musical and cultural gem of Austria. (B)
Day 5: Salzburg (Day at Leisure)
Today is yours to enjoy Salzburg at your own pace. Stroll through the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, visit the Hohensalzburg Fortress, or relax in a local café soaking in the charm of this historic city. Alternatively, join our OPTIONAL and unforgettable day trip to the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), perched high in the Bavarian Alps, just a short journey from Salzburg. This excursion combines stunning alpine views, rich history, and a unique mountain experience — all in one unforgettable adventure. (B)
Day 6: Salzburg – Garmisch
After bidding farewell to the captivating city of Salzburg, we head towards Garmisch for a two-night stay. Along the way, we’ll stop for a scenic boat trip on the serene Lake Chiemsee, often referred to as the “Bavarian Sea.” During our visit, we’ll explore the magnificent Palace Herrenchiemsee, a stunning palace built by King Ludwig II, inspired by Versailles. Continue to Garmisch, where we’ll settle in for the night, surrounded by the breathtaking Bavarian Alps. (B)
Day 7: Neuschwanstein Castle & the Bavarian Alps
Today we set out to visit one of the most iconic landmarks in all of Germany—Neuschwanstein Castle, the fairytale masterpiece that inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle. On the way, we’ll make a brief stop at the Wieskirche, a stunning rococo pilgrimage church and UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the Bavarian countryside. Upon arrival at Neuschwanstein, enjoy time to explore the castle and its surroundings at your own pace. Later, we return to Garmisch for our final evening in this alpine paradise. (B)
Day 8: Zugspitze – Oberammergau – Munich
This morning, we ascend to the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak, where breathtaking panoramic views of the Alps await. Enjoy a memorable lunch at the summit, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and stunning scenery. Afterward, we visit the charming village of Oberammergau, famous for its woodcarving tradition and the Passion Play performed once every ten years. Later, we return to Munich, where we’ll settle in for the our last night in the vibrant Bavarian capital. (B,L)
Day 9: Oktoberfest
Step into a world of Bavarian charm and celebration as you spend an unforgettable day at Oktoberfest in Munich—the world’s largest beer festival! From the moment you arrive, you’re swept into a whirlwind of lively music, traditional folk costumes, and the irresistible aroma of sizzling bratwurst and freshly baked pretzels. Raise a stein of golden beer brewed by Munich’s legendary breweries, join in the joyful singing inside the grand beer tents, and dance to the rhythm of oompah bands. Whether you’re savoring authentic German cuisine, enjoying thrilling carnival rides, or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, Oktoberfest offers a one-of-a-kind cultural experience that blends tradition, fun, and community spirit. Day 4: Free Day – Option to Delphi
Today, you will have a free day to explore this interesting city. If you’d like, you can take an OPTIONAL excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage site Delphi and the temple of Apollo. Explore the Doric Temple of Apollo and see what the Greeks consider the center of the world. (B)
Day 5: Athens – Cruise Ship – Sail to Mykonos
This morning, sail into the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, easily settling into the cruising routine of sunbathing, sipping cool drinks, splashing in the pool and reveling in the delights prepared by the ship’s chefs. Later, dock at the mountainous island of Mykonos with its characteristic windmills and dazzling white houses. Take an OPTIONAL excursion to tour and wander through narrow paved streets, lined with trendy boutiques and shady taverns. Conclude the excursion at a local taverna for traditional drink and food.(B, L, D)
Day 6: Ephesus & Patmos
Two ports of call today. First, Kusadasi on the Turkish coast. Join an OPTIONAL excursion takes you to the fascinating Greek, Roman, and Byzantine excavations of Ephesus. Imagine life as an Ephesian as you are guided through the remarkable excavation site. Day 9: Trojan War & Mycenae Tour
Arrive in Athens this morning and travel back in time today to where Gods and Goddesses, ancient kings and pioneer Christians roamed. This full day included tour will take you to many ancient and modern wonders, including the theater of Epidaurus. Built in 6th century B.C. and world renowned for its remarkable acoustics, you can easily hear a coin drop from anywhere in the theater. Continue on to Mycenae, where you will see the tomb of Agamemnon, the King of Sparta and the Lion’s Gate. This famed place was where the Trojan War began. Helen of Sparta fled with Paris of Troy creating the epic battle best known as the Trojan War. Day 5: Sorrento/Ravello/Amalfi/Positano
After breakfast, meet your program manager for your full day excursion of the Amalfi Coast. Also known as the ‘CostieraAlmafitana’, the Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula extending from Positano in the west to Vietri sul Mare in the east. You will visit Ravello – the dramatic hillside town, famous for its Villa Rufolo, which was originally used as a watchtower when it was built in 1200 AD. Due to its high altitude, Villa Rufolo is a great tourist destination offering breathtaking views and beautiful gardens. Continue to Amalfi and its historic center. You may want to enjoy Saint Andrea Cathedral, the Cloister of Paradise and even some shopping. Stroll through the streets and “piazzetta”, lined with orange and lime trees. Try the local pastries and “espresso Napoletano”, or perhaps sample one of the many flavors of gelato. According to local legend, Positano was founded by a group from Paestum who fled there to avoid the attacks of the Saracens. Positano is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Amalfi peninsula. One of the many highlights of this tour is that there is no “packing and unpacking” . . . a relaxed way to experience this wonderful region of Italy. Named for the five towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, this portion of the Italian Riviera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline. In each of the five towns, colorful houses and ancient vineyards cling to steep terraces, fishing boats bob in harbors and trattorias turn out seafood specialties along with the Liguria region’s famous sauce, pesto. Day 6: Montecatini (San Gimignano – Chianti)
After breakfast, we travel into the heart of Tuscany. As we travel south, you will recognize many of the landscapes from the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun,” filmed in this area. Visiting the walled city of San Gimignano, the best-preserved medieval village in Italy, you will admire the many towers that once served as the skyscrapers of the 13th and 14th centuries. We will stroll around the tiny streets leading to the top of the village, maybe stop in one of the many cafes and small trattorias for a sandwich and a “gelato”… Italian ice cream. As you drive south through the wine country of Chianti this afternoon, your stop will include a winery to taste the local superb wine. Enjoy local wines and an educational program as brought to you by the leaders of the local wine industry. (B)
Day 7: Montecatini (Ferrari Museum & Lunch)
Day at leisure or take an OPTIONAL full day tour to the Ferrari Museum with lunch at a balsamic vinegar farm. Step into the world of Ferrari at the Museo Ferrari in Maranello, just steps from the legendary factory. This dynamic museum showcases Ferrari’s iconic road and race cars, historic trophies, photographs, and pioneering technological innovations. Explore how Ferrari’s racing legacy has shaped its world-renowned road cars in an immersive setting that draws over 180,000 visitors annually. After the museum visit, indulge in a delicious lunch at a traditional balsamic vinegar farm. (B)
Day 8: Montecatini (Siena)
Day at leisure or take an OPTIONAL tour to Siena, in the heart of Tuscany. Your escort will lead you to the Piazza del Campo, the ancient Tuscan capitol, a fascinating art town. This is the site of the most famous “palio” in all of Italy. This race of men on horseback, held twice a year, is charged with electricity as the competitors race around the town square at a furious pace. Take the time to explore the museums and churches of Siena and the glamorous shops of the Via dei Banchi de Sopra. This evening, enjoy a delicious farewell dinner with your fellow travelers as a tribute to your new fond memories of Italy.

Board your international flight to Croatia and prepare for an incredible journey ahead.
Day 2: Arrive in Dubrovnik, Croatia
Arrive at Dubrovnik Airport, where you will be greeted by your tour manager and transferred to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy your first evening in this remarkable city.
Day 3: Dubrovnik City Tour & Game of Thrones Experience
Explore Dubrovnik, a striking medieval walled city rich with history and photo-worthy views. Ride the cable car for panoramic vistas before a guided walking tour of Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Step into the world of Westeros, where many scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. Explore legendary sites like the Red Keep, Blackwater Bay, and the Walk of Shame staircase. Enjoy free time to explore the city on your own after the tour. (B)
Day 4: Pelješac & Korčula
Venture to the Pelješac Peninsula and the walled village of Ston before taking a short boat ride to Korčula, often called “Little Dubrovnik.” Wander through the marble streets of this red-roofed town, visit St. Mark’s Cathedral, and explore the house claimed to be Marco Polo’s birthplace. On the return journey, stop at a local winery in Pelješac for a tasting of regional wines. (B)
Day 5: Elaphite Islands
Cruise from Gruž Harbor to the Elaphite Islands. Your first stop is Lopud Island, known for its beautiful sandy beaches—ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Continue to Šipan, the largest island in the archipelago, known for its historic churches, villas, Roman ruins, and lush vegetation. Return to Dubrovnik in the evening. (B)
Day 6: Dubrovnik – Split
After breakfast, transfer to Split and check into your hotel. Later, meet your local guide for a walking tour of Split’s historic center, featuring the ruins of Diocletian’s Palace, St. Domnius Cathedral, the charming Brace Radić Square, and the lively Riva promenade. Day 7: Krka National Park & Šibenik
Enjoy a day exploring Krka National Park’s stunning waterfalls, followed by a visit to the coastal town of Šibenik. Tour the UNESCO-listed St. James’s Cathedral before returning to Split for a free evening. (B,L)
Day 8: Split (Day at Leisure)
Relax or choose an optional full-day island-hopping cruise. Visit sunny Hvar Island, famous for its lavender fields and rich history. Enjoy leisure time in Hvar Town before continuing to Pakleni Otoci for swimming and relaxation. Day 9: Split – Plitvice Lakes National Park

Day 10: Plitvice – Zagreb

Day 11: Varaždin & Trakošćan Castle

Day 4: Strasbourg
Overnight, your ship sails into France’s Alsace region, docking in charming Strasbourg. On today’s included discovery tour, enjoy a short coach ride through the city followed by a guided walk of the historic old town, with highlights such as the famous Straßburger Münster Cathedral*, half-timbered houses, and medieval Petite France. Day 5: Speyer – Mannheim

Marvin McDaniel
Marvin is an experienced travel veteran with over 40 years in the industry. He has extensive destination knowledge and experience hosting groups on six continents. After graduation from Missouri State University in 1971, he received his commission as an Ensign in the US Navy Reserves. Following three years on active duty traveling throughout Asia, he entered the travel industry and eventually retired from the Navy as a Commander in 1991. He previously owned his own retail agency and was also a principle in an online agency selling hotel reservations, which went public and sold in 2001. Today, he and his wife Donna host groups throughout the world, many of which sell out months in advance.
