    Barcelona, the second most populous municipality in Spain is a major cultural, economic, and financial centre in southwestern Europe. The city is rich with Catalan modernista architecture and home to the iconic buildings, created by the remarkable work of Antoni Gaudí. Known to be his best work, La Sagrada Família has been under construction since 1882, which includes breathtaking attention to detail with every piece of the church. Madrid is one of the top European destinations regarding the history and the renowned art museums. Open since 1819, the Prado Museum provides a historical and cultural perspective of the world’s finest collection of art by Velazquez and Goya. There are plenty of experiences and delicious cuisines around every corner in both Barcelona and Madrid.

    Day 1

    Board Your Transatlantic Flight

    Depart the U.S. and embark on our fabulous adventure to Spain.
    Day 2

    Barcelona

    Today arrive in the Barcelona, the second most populous municipality in Spain! Upon arrival we will be met by our Chamber Discoveries tour manager after collecting your baggage and clearing customs. You’ll then be transferred to our hotel and home for the next 4 nights. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore Barcelona on your own.
    Day 3

    Barcelona

    Today after breakfast, enjoy a panoramic tour around the city. See sights such as; Park Guell, Passeig de Gracia, Casa Batllo, Plaza de España and the National Museum of art. Visit the La Sagrada Familia, and enjoy a guided tour of Gaudí’s masterpiece. See the Basilica’s dream-like façade and interior accompanied by an expert guide. During the tour you will learn about the ongoing construction, the current predicted completion date, and the generations of craftspeople, architects and artists learned how to bring Gaudi’s vision to life. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. (B)
    Day 4

    Barcelona

    After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure in Barcelona. Fall in love with the Gothic and Modernist Barcelona, look at its beauty from the heights and walk in one of its central and historical neighborhoods. This evening, enjoy a Flamenco show with dinner. (B, D)
    Day 5

    Barcelona - Montserrat

    After breakfast, experience Barcelona’s holy mountain, Montserrat, on a half day tour. Board the Aeri Cable Car to observe the area’s fascinating flora and fauna following a trail (soft hiking) with the best specialized guide in Montserrat Natural Park. The experience starts in the upper part of Passeig de Gràcia, before journeying to experience the natural splendor of Montserrat. Catalonia’s most emblematic mountain. Topped by a Benedictine Monastery. On the way to the Monastery, admire the Massif of Montserrat, a spectacular multi-peaked rocky range packed of unique needle-shape formations. You’ll delight yourself with the unbeatable panoramic views of the famous monumental Rosary of the Virgin. Upon arrival, visit the Monastery, which was founded in the 10th century and still functions to this day, with over 150 monks. It is also well-known for hosting the figure of La Moreneta, who is the patron saint of Catalonia. Return to Barcelona and enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure. (B)
    Day 6

    Barcelona - Zaragosa - Madrid

    Today after breakfast, take the train from Barcelona to Zaragosa. The AVE high speed train whisks at speeds of up to 310 km/h, and you will arrive in Zaragosa in under 2 hours. Enjoy a city tour of Zaragosa upon arrival. Discover the hidden delights of this lesser-known Spanish city as you explore its Old Town, check out the Pavilion of Expo, see the Basilica Nuestra Senora del Pilar, and much more. Later, reboard the train for a 4 hour ride to Madrid, your home for the next 3 nights. (B)
    Day 7

    Madrid

    Following breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Madrid. On your tour you will see Madrid’s historic center, the Puerta del Sol, which is now the official center of Madrid. Also see Plaza Mayor, where events have been held since the 17th century. Today, locals gather for shopping or breaks in one of the many cafes. See the Calle Mayor (street) adorned with many intricately designed buildings. Your tour ends at the Prado Museum, where you may wish to enjoy the afternoon at exploring this fascinating Museum. Open since 1819, it provides you with a historical and cultural perspective it also houses the world’s finest collection of art by masters such as Velazquez and Goya. (B)
    Day 8

    Madrid/Toledo

    Following breakfast, discover the “City of the Three Cultures”, Toledo is a beautiful city-museum declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the oldest towns in Europe and has a great artistic beauty and buildings from almost all periods in history (Arabian, Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance and Baroque style). Toledo is called the “City of Three Cultures”, since Christians, Muslims and Jews lived together. In the 16th century, it was also the place of residence of the great painter El Greco. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city, and see sights such as; Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca, Church of los Jesuitas, The Church of Santo Tome-Burial of the Count of Orgaz and many more. (B)
    Day 9

    Madrid - USA

    After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport in Madrid for our return flight home. (B)
